I hope that the information found below can be useful to you in identifying your bike and its history. I have tried to compile this information from a variety of sources. I have credited the original authors for this information where appropriate. If you find any wrong information, or can add anything , please let me know. I am doing this as a selfish project. I was tired of trying to remember where I had seen a piece of information on a bike and then trying to root through the "archives" (also know as a filing cabinet) to find it. I figured if I had it all in one place it would be much easier to find. I am not trying to be a writer (obviously), but to present the information in a usable format. The largest section is now devoted to the history of mountain bikes. From the main page you can access information on the pioneers of the sport including Breezer, Ibis, Mountain Goat as well as many others.
Click on the name below to go to the section containing the history of each make.
